Data controller
Personal data collected on eJO.Africa is processed by the secretariat of the African Official Gazettes Forum — African Gazettes (FAJO), based in Djibouti.
For any question regarding your data: contact@ejo.africa.
Our commitments
- We collect only the information needed to organise the Forum and run the network.
- No data is sold, rented or transferred for commercial purposes.
- The website uses no advertising cookies, no profiling tools and no social media trackers.
- No registration is required to browse the public pages.
Forum registration and pre-registration
When you register (or pre-register) for an edition of the Forum, we collect:
- your surname and first name and your position;
- your email address and telephone number;
- your institution, its website if any, and your country;
- your role, the type of participation requested and, if you wish, a message;
- where applicable, an optional PDF attachment (10 MB maximum: letter of appointment, presentation of the institution, etc.).
Purpose: to organise the participation of delegations, send you practical information about the edition and draw up the list of participants.
Sponsorship requests
The “Become a sponsor” form collects the name of the organisation (and, optionally, its country and website), together with the name, position, email address and telephone number of the contact person, the package requested and any message you add.
Purpose: to respond to your request, send you the sponsorship pack and follow up on the partnership.
Anti-spam log and security
To protect the website against automated submissions and abuse, every form submission is recorded in a technical log containing the IP address, the browser used (user agent), the timestamp and the result of the check (accepted or rejected).
The sole purpose of this log is the security of the service (limiting the number of submissions, detecting bots). It is used neither for traffic statistics nor for profiling.
Recipients and transfers
Your data is accessible only to the Forum secretariat and, for technical maintenance purposes, to the service provider that develops and maintains the website (Novus Dynamics), which is bound by confidentiality. It is hosted by [hosting provider: to be completed].
For the organisation of an edition, the list of participants (name, position, institution, country) may be shared with the authorities of the host country, solely for accreditation and event security purposes.
Retention periods
The periods below are proposals and remain to be confirmed by the secretariat.
Your rights
You may at any time request:
- access to the data concerning you;
- their rectification if they are inaccurate or incomplete;
- their erasure;
- to object to their processing, or withdraw your consent (newsletter) without giving reasons.
Write to contact@ejo.africa, specifying your request and the email address used on the website. We reply within one month; proof of identity may be requested in case of doubt.
